AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic Lithium Complex Racing Grease meets the highest
performance standards of the National Lubricating Grease Institute, GC for wheel bearing
applications and LB for chassis applications.
Load Capacity
AMSOIL Series 2000 Racing Grease is an extreme-pressure multi-purpose grease formulated
for high-temperature/high-speed applications. Yet, it excels in the protection of low-speed bearings, a job usually

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL GHD Extreme Pressure grease is qualified against the highest grease standard, NLGI GC (wheel bearing) and
LB (chassis), and is designed for heavy duty applications. This grease is composed of synthetic base oils and
lithium-complex thickeners that provide the film strength, shear resistance, and mechanical stability critical to high load
protection. This combination excels in high and low operating temperature ranges by providing excellent oxidation
stability, high temperature dropping points, good low temperature torque values and good low temperature pumping
capabilities. The GHD Grease is compounded with oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, effective oil soluble EP additives
and molybdenum disulfide (moly) solid EP additives for all around protection in severe conditions.
The presence of moly provides an extra measure of protection in shock loading situations common in both
construction and agricultural use. During heavy shock loading, the lubricant film between metal surfaces can be
temporarily ruptured, but moly remains intact to prevent metal to metal contact which could cause equipment damage.
Moly also assists in dirty environments or when proper re-greasing intervals are not followed.
AMSOIL's top performing lithium complex thickener system provides excellent water resistance as identified by the
ASTM D-1264 water washout test. Therefore, even in wet conditions a lubricant film remains present to protect
equipment against wear while the corrosion inhibitors prevent rust. AMSOIL GHD grease adheres to metal and is shear
stable during severe mechanical activity. These features mean the grease does not thin during operation, but rather it
maintains its consistency and stays in place to provide good lubrication.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION
AMSOIL GH Greases in grades #1 and #2 are recommended for use in manual or automatic lubricating systems. NLGI
#1 (GHB) greases have better mobility and are the preferred choice for colder applications, for automatic lubrication
systems with long pumping runs, and for gear box applications (where recommended by manufacturer). NLGI #2
(GHD) is the preferred choice for medium to high ambient temperatures, sleeve type bushings, high shock loading
environments, high water environments, and is the primary choice for wheel bearings.
The correct consistency grade of AMSOIL GH EP Moly Greases are recommended for use in heavy and light duty
applications found in manufacturing plants, automotive applications, agricultural equipment and construction
equipment. These include, but are not limited to, roller bearings, plain bearings, gears, bushings, thrust bearings,
wheel bearings, chassis lubrication, universal joints, ball joints, tie-rod ends, steering knuckles, and heavily loaded
pivot pins on mining and off road equipment such as power shovels, draglines, wheel and back hoe loaders,
excavators and bulldozers. AMSOIL GH greases are suitable for use up to 325º F. When operating at elevated
temperatures, frequent regreasing may be required.
AMSOIL GH Lithium Complex Grease is compatible with many other types of grease. However, it is recommended that
when changing greases, the equipment be cleaned of the old grease when possible or flushed with a liberal amount of
the GL grease while the mechanism is in operation. Closely monitor the system for any inconsistencies. Any grease
compatibility questions should be referred to your AMSOIL representative or AMSOIL INC.
APPLICATION MAINTENANCE
Maintaining a clean work environment is important when equipment greasing is performed. Wipe grease fittings clean
prior to injecting grease to prevent contaminant ingestion. Maintain bearing housings one-third to one-half full of
grease. Do not over-grease as excessive heat buildup can result. Supplement standard grease maintenance by
periodically cleaning and packing housings with fresh grease on an established maintenance schedule.

AMSOIL Synthetic GVC is a lithium complex thickened grease blended with premium ISO-320 synthetic
base oils. This grease is fully compounded with additives providing EP protection, oxidation resistance and
rust and corrosion protection. AMSOIL GVC is shear stable, maintaining its viscosity and consistency in
the presence of mechanical activity, and GVC stays in place by resisting water washout. During
high-temperature operation, GVC's thickener system remains intact and the high viscosity base oils resist
thermal breakdown and provide a thick film of lubricant for good boundary lubrication. AMSOIL GVC
adheres to critical components in sever conditions and provides problem-free operation, resulting in
increased uptime and reduced repair and maintenance costs.
APPLICATION
AMSOIL GVC is excellent for use in heavy duty industrial and off road applications where equipment is working
under adverse conditions such as exposure to environmental elements, slow, heavily-loaded applications and
shock-loading conditions. Use GVC in wet applications requiring excellent water resistance and in high temperature
applications up to 350°F continuous service and 400°F intermittent service. The lithium complex thickener system

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
AMSOIL GFW may be applied to fifth wheels, open gears, wire ropes, chains, flexible couplings, sliding surfaces of
drag lines and shovels, construction equipment, dredging equipment or any application where a heavy, tenacious
lubricant is required.
GFW should be applied at an adequate coverage rate to ensure good lubrication and coverage of all mating
surfaces. For easy application, apply at room temperature.
Relubrication intervals are based on environmental conditions and use. Manufacturers' recommendations and
users' observations of surface conditions may be used to establish correct application rates and lubrication intervals.
WIDE OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE
Because of the inherent cold-temperature properties of synthetic base materials, AMSOIL GFW stays fluid at cold
temperatures. This dramatically eases application and allows the product to protect surfaces, where residual
compounded oils and solvent-cut asphaltic products may not. In cold temperature applications, residual
compounded or asphaltic products will typically flake off, leaving the surfaces unprotected against wear and
weather, causing the relubrication interval to increase. AMSOIL GFW does not flake off in cold temperatures, but
stays in place to provide long-lasting lubrication protection.
In warm temperatures, asphaltic materials soften and lose film strength, allowing component wear. AMSOIL GFW, a
tacky lubricant, stays in place during warm temperature operations, providing heavy load carrying and extreme
pressure performance, thus protecting surfaces and reducing the need for frequent relubrication.
ADHESION TO METAL
AMSOIL GFW, with its synthetic base materials and highly polar nature, provides excellent adhesion to metal
surfaces even in hostile environments. This is a tremendous advantage since compounded oils and solvent-cut
asphaltic materials' adhesion are readily affected by the cleanliness of the metal surface. The ability of GFW to
adhere to surfaces under a variety of conditions means greater protection, less maintenance and cleaner
application.

AMSOIL X-Treme Synthetic Food Grade Grease is recommended for use in all types of equipment and machinery

Compatibility
AMSOIL X-Treme Synthetic Food Grade Grease is compatible with lithium complex and anhydrous calcium greases. It
is not compatible with Barium Complex, Calcium Stearate, Calcium Complex, Clay, Lithium Stearate, Lithium 12 Hydroxy
and conventional Polyurea greases.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL Semi-Synthetic WL Series is a high-quality, heavy duty lubricant composed of synthetic base oils, large
molecule petroleum base oils and additives specifically designed for EP applications found in gear, chain and machine
tool applications. This combination of base oils and EP additives provides the excellent lubricity and film strength
needed to prevent scoring and wear during equipment operations. By incorporating synthetic base oils, AMSOIL WL
Oils reduce friction for good overall performance.
Machine Tool Slideways
AMSOIL formulated the WL Series with additives designed to prevent the stick/slip or chatter phenomena that
commonly occur at the beginning and end of a machine tool stroke. This happens because the lubricant and additives
are squeezed out during boundary lubrication conditions. Metal to metal contact then occurs, also causing wear to the
slideways. AMSOIL uses EP additives that form a hard boundary layer of protection and tackifying agents that improve
the adhesion properties of the oil. These additives prevent stick/slip and wear. Additionally, the WL Oils are anti-rust
fortified and have excellent resistance to water washout. This is important since emulsified cutting fluids are commonly
used and components are generally exposed to the environment.
Chain and Gear Lubrication
The performance characteristics of the WL Series make them ideal for chain and gear applications. These oils are
friction-reducing, compatible with seals and paints and are resistant to water. The tackifier agents used ensure the
components have constant lubrication, allowing the EP additives to prevent wear and the corrosion inhibitors to
prevent rust. The semi-synthetic nature of the WL Oils delivers excellent performance in a wide variety of
environments.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION
AMSOIL WL Series Oils are recommended for use on machine tools where mating surfaces operate under heavy loads
and slow speeds. Some applications include the plain bearing slideways of lathes, shapers, grinders and milling
machines plus the slideways of saws and carriages found in lumber mills. AMSOIL WL Oils are recommended for use
on open or enclosed chain drives and in EP gear box applications where tackified EP gear oils are recommended or
where they do not pose a problem.
Note: Do not use the WL Oils on yellow metal or worm gear applications operating at or above 200° F.

AMSOIL products are available in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon drums, 275-gallon totes and bulk quantities. For 275-gallon
totes, please allow two to four weeks for delivery.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL GL Series multi-purpose, EP greases are qualified against the highest grease standards*, NLGI GC (wheel
bearing) and LB (chassis), and are designed for multiple use applications. These greases are composed of synthetic
base oils and lithium complex thickeners that provide the film strength, shear resistance and mechanical stability
required for good grease lubrication. This combination excels in high and low operating temperature ranges by
providing excellent oxidation stability, high temperature dropping points, good low temperature torque values and good
low temperature pumping capabilities. The GL Greases are compounded with an effective oil soluble extreme-pressure
additive for heavy loads, plus oxidation and corrosion inhibitors that impart good oxidation stability and rust protection.
AMSOIL’s top performing lithium complex thickener system provides excellent adhesion properties and water
resistance as identified by ASTM D-1264 water washout test. This resistance to water means a protective film of
lubricant remains present to protect equipment against wear while the corrosion inhibitors prevent rust. AMSOIL GL
Greases adhere to metal in all types of environments and they resist squeeze out during operation. These qualities
ensure maximum lubricant protection during harsh operations.
AMSOIL GL multi-purpose greases are recommended for many different applications. Its diversity simplifies lubricant
inventories and prevents greasing errors while providing problem-free operation. AMSOIL GL Greases reduce repair

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATION
AMSOIL GL Greases grades #0, #1 and #2, are recommended for use in manual or automatic lubricating systems.
NLGI #0 (GLA) and #1 (GLB) have better mobility and are the preferred choice for colder applications, for automatic
lubrication systems with long pumping runs, and for gear box applications (where recommended by manufacturer).
NLGI #2 (GLC) is the preferred choice for medium to high ambient temperatures, sleeve type bushings, high shock
loading environments, wet environments. and is the primary choice for wheel bearings.
The correct consistency grade of AMSOIL GL multi-purpose greases are recommended for use in heavy and light duty
applications found in manufacturing plants, automotive applications, agricultural equipment and construction
equipment. These include, but are not limited to, roller bearings, plain bearings, thrust bearings, gears, electric
motors, presses, winches, bushings, wheel bearings. chassis lubrication, universal joints, ball joints, tie-rod ends, and
steering knuckles. AMSOIL GL greases are suitable for use up to 350 F When operating at elevated temperatures,
frequent regreasing may be required.
AMSOIL GL Lithium Complex Greases are compatible with many other types of greases. However, it is recommended
that when changing greases, the equipment be cleaned of the old grease when possible or flushed with a liberal
amount of the GL grease while the mechanism is in operation. Closely monitor the system for any inconsistencies.

APPLICATION MAINTENANCE
Maintaining a clean work environment is important when equipment greasing is performed. Wipe grease fitting clean
prior to injecting grease to prevent contaminant ingestion. Maintain bearing housings one-third to one-half full of
grease. Do not over-grease, as excessive heat buildup can result. Supplement standard grease maintenance by
periodically cleaning and packing housings with fresh grease on an established maintenance schedule.
